Camp H.O.P.E. does not replace your home church, and we strongly encourage regular church attendance.
We also believe in rest.
It is important to step away from time to time to intentionally focus on building your personal relationship with Jesus.
“Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, ‘Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”
Mark 6:31 (NIV)
We believe in unity, not division.
We do not focus on denominational differences, but on what we have in common—faith in Jesus Christ. We don’t tear down; we build up in faith and love.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Ephesians 2:8–10 (NIV)
We believe we need one another.
The body of Christ is made up of many members, each with unique gifts, all working together as one.
"Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body – whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free – and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many."
1 Corinthians 12:12–14 (NIV)
The Bible Is True
We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God and the ultimate authority for salvation and Christian living.
(II Timothy 3:15–17)
There Is One God
We believe in one God, revealed through His Son, Jesus Christ—fully God and fully man.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4–6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16)
Everyone Needs Salvation
All have sinned and are in need of salvation. Salvation is a gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice.
(Romans 3:23–25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8–9)
